He joined the Peshmerga Forces in the Fifth Region in the Shahrizor area under the command of Mulla Faiq Chuchani. He took part in the Battle of Barikgan Camp, the Battle of Qajer Village, the Battle of Kani Spilke, the Battle of Mount Said Sadiq, and guerrilla warfare activities in the Shahrizor Plain.

He was martyred in a defensive trench after being wounded by gunfire on 15 March 1981 in the Razla and Parzan battle, during an attack launched by the Jalalis against Peshmerga Forces' positions and defensive earthworks. Two of his Peshmerga comrades were also martyred with him: Sherzad, known as Walah Samti, and Khawla Zardouyi. Mama Rasha, known as Rasha Kacha, was also seriously wounded.
