Martyr Majid Ahmed Hassan Omar, known as (Majid Karwanchi), was born in Year 1937 in the village of Kaniyquri, Rawanduz district, Erbil province. He studied up to the primary level, was married, and had one daughter.
In Year 1963, he joined the Peshmerga Forces of the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga under Mullah Taha Sheikh Wasani. Between Year 1963 and Year 1965, he participated in the battles of Mount Korak, Daraheshk, and Bekhal. He participated in two activities inside the city of Rawanduz and also participated in the battles of the Akoyan Valley.
In Year 1963, he participated in the battle of Harir against the Iraqi Army. In Year 1965, he became a Head of Branch and deputy to Commander Muhammad Ziad Faqiani.
In Year 1965, during a major attack by the Iraqi Army on the Korak mountain range, he was martyred. His body was buried in the cemetery of the village of Faqiani in Rawanduz district.
