Battle of Gulnazki1984
The Battle of Gulnazki took place in August 24 1984 during confrontations between Peshmerga forces and a large force of the Iraqi Army and hired gunmen, supported by tanks, artillery, and warplanes, as the Ba'ath government launched an attack on several areas in Zakho in the Badinan region, and after eight days of continuous attacks and raids, the government forces suffered a crushing defeat, leaving behind heavy human and material losses.
