Martyr Faqe Malla Wasu Osman was born in 1952 in the village of Gartagi in the Balakayati area of Erbil Governorate. He was a villager who worked in farming and had a family.

In 1969, he joined the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Hamaamin Rashka Force, which had been assigned to protect the Political Bureau. In 1974, he was martyred near the village of Barsirin as a result of bombing by aircraft of the Ba'ath regime.
