Martyr Hamed Ismail Murad was born in 1949 in Sardara village in the Khanqah Valley, belonging to Rawanduz district in Erbil Governorate. He was a village farmer, illiterate, and unmarried.
In 1966, he joined the Peshmerga Forces and became a Peshmerga in Battalion 4 of the Balak Forces. He took part in the Handren and Korek battles and in the Rawanduz area. In 1975, he was martyred in Sardara village in the Khanqah Valley by aircraft bombardment from the Iraqi regime.
