Biography

Pشتیوان Sadiq Abdullah was born in Erbil in 1969. His father was one of the Peshmerga of the Sefin forces in Aylul Revolution and was martyred in 1968 near the Pirman sub-district in Erbil Governorate. He obtained a master's degree in 2005 and a doctorate in public law from Salahaddin University - Erbil in 2012 and taught at the aforementioned university. 

He assumed the position of Minister of Education in the eighth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government in 2014, and was appointed Minister of Endowments in the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government in 2019. He is proficient in languages (Kurdish, Arabic, and English).

Pشتیوان Sadiq became involved with the organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1986. He participated in the uprising of South Kurdistan in 1991, joined the Peshmerga Forces, and struggled in the Kork forces.

He was accepted into the ninth session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Cadre Institute in the Pirman sub-district and passed the course successfully on January 16, 1991. He was chosen as an active member of the local committee of the Baranti area affiliated with the Second Branch Committee - Erbil of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Unified in 1993, and was a delegate to the Eleventh Congress of the Party in the same year. He assumed the responsibility of the Baranti local committee in 1996, and was an official for the Second Local Committee - Erbil affiliated with the Second Branch Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

He was a delegate to the Twelfth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the city of Erbil in 1999, and was chosen as an active member of the Second Branch Committee 2000-2004. He was a lecturer on the subject of terrorism in the eleventh session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Cadre Preparation Institute in 2005.

He assumed the responsibility of the Second Branch Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Erbil 2005-2008. He was elected as a member of the Leadership Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the Thirteenth Congress of the Party in 2010, and was elected as a Member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the Fourteenth Congress. In the first meeting of the Leadership Committee, he was elected again as a member of the Political Bureau of the Party and assumed the responsibility of the Duhok Governorate Organizations Office.
