Martyr Sheikh Salih Faqe Khidir Bas was born in 1936 in Delziyan village, belonging to Choman town in Erbil province. He was a villager and engaged in farming.
In 1962, he established contact with the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Balak Force, whose commander at that time was Mamosta Hamid Efendi. He participated in the battles of that area. In 1962, he was martyred in Sidakan town by hired agents of the Iraqi regime, and his body was buried there.
