Martyr Tahir Muhammad Ahmed, Known as (Tahir Shekhani), was born in 1955 in the village of Shekhan, Mazne sub-district, Mergasor district, Erbil Governorate. He was married. In 1975, after the collapse of the Aylul Revolution, he became a refugee in the Country of Iran and resided in the Zewe camp.
In 1976, he joined the Peshmerga Forces of the Gulan Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the initial detachments of the Gulan Revolution .
In the month of August 1988, in the Battle of Khwakurk he was martyred by aerial bombardment.
