Martyr Mawlud Salman Ahmad was born in 1946 in the town of Diana in Erbil Governorate. He worked as a farmer and was married.
In 1961, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in Sheikh Kawkis Battalion. He took part in the battles of Mount Hasan Beg, Hendrin, and Sartizi. In 1966, he was martyred in the battle of Umar Agha Gorge.
